Since India opened up to private-sector investors 16 years ago, the industry’s value has grown to more than $60 billion. The growth is expected to continue into 2016 where the sector is forecasted to reach a total value of $66 billion. Although growth will be steadier in the three years following 2016, by 2019 the overall value of the industry is expected to be $75.1 billion.
