AfDB okays EUR 250mn financing for three projects in Ivory Coast

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has given the go-ahead for a EUR 250 million financing projects regarding the agriculture and energy sectors in the Ivory Coast, CEEMarketWatch reported.

In detail, some EUR 100 million will be allocated to cocoa export Sucres & Denrees Cote d'Ivoire (SUCDEN CI). The aim is to allow the company to expand its pre-financing arrangements with local co-operatives and suppliers so it could strengthen its supply chain.

Also, some EUR 100 million will be allocated for the construction of the Atinkou gas-fired combined-cycle thermal power plant. The remaining EUR 50 million will go for extension of the Azito gas combined cycle thermal power plant, CEEMarketWatch added.
