Sector’s exports increased 11.9% y/y during the month of reference

Automotive production in Mexico increased 4.5% year-on-year in November, down 6.7% compared to the 11.2% y/y hike recorded in October, CEEMarketWatch reported citing figures released by the local Association of the Automotive Industry (AMIA).

Despite this deceleration, sector’s performance remains positive this year, as output rose 9.4% y/y between January and November.

Vehicle exports also grew 11.9% y/y during the month of reference, slowing from 12.7% y/y improvement scored in October. Sector’s shipments jumped 11.7% y/y so far in 2017.
