Brazil's coffee exports jump 24.6% y/y in April

Brazil's coffee exports soared 24.6% year-on-year to 3mn bags in April, CEEMarketWatch reported citing figures released by the Council of Coffee Exporters (CECAFE).

Shipments of green coffee (Robusta y Arabica) jumped 30.3% to 2.7mn bags during the month of reference. On the other hand however, industrialized coffee sales fell 14.8% y/y to 0.3mn bags.

Overall, sector's exports increased 26.8% y/y to 13.1mn bags in the first four months of 2019. The USA was the main destination for Brazilian coffee during this period, accounting for 18.4% of the total exports.
