Cambodia and Turkey aim to boost their bilateral trade up to USD 1 billion per year, dpa ANN Service reported referring to a statement posted on the Facebook page of Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Sen. The ambition was voiced as Sen met with the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the weekend.

The two partner states also envisage enhancing investor and investment relations in order to do businesses together as much as possible. In the meantime, Cambodia is preparing to establish its embassy in Ankara.

Earlier this year, the two countries agreed to increase bilateral trade to USD 500 million by 2020. They also plan to comply with a list of goods that can be exported and imported between them, dpa ANN Service added.
