Chinese companies interested in Mexico’s automotive industry

Chinese companies are interested in investing in key Mexican industries, local source Mundo Ejecutivo informed citing an announcement made by the President of the Republic Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

In its first government report Lopez Obrador revealed that companies from the Asian country could invest resources mostly in Mexico’s automotive sector, particularly in the development and production of electric cars. Few months ago, the Chinese auto maker Automobile Group (GAC) already expressed interest in producing vehicles in the Latin American country.
