Chinese companies to invest over USD 4bn in logistics in UAE

Chinese companies are planning to invest over USD 4 billion in logistics projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Mubasher reported referring to data provided by the President of National Association of Freight and Logistics (NAFL), Nadia Abdul Aziz.

The boost in investment was encouraged by the major growth achieved in the UAE's logistics industry, Aziz noted. She added that more logistics parks are expected to come out in the two cities and many projects are being built for Expo 2020.

Also, the Emirati government has been working on attracting foreigners to invest in the country. The aim is to have them participate in the manufacturing and export fields in order to support local trade, Mubasher underlined.
