Croatia narrows drop in milk production in 2017 to 2% y/y

Croatia has managed to narrow the drastic decline in milk production in the country to about 2% on an annual basis in 2017, HINA reported referring to a statement made by the director of the Croatian Agricultural Agency (HPA), Zdravko Barac.

The dairy sector even managed to book an increase in production over the last few months of last year, he added.

Currently, Croatia has about 6,000 active milk producers and they now expect the recent government measures in the field to revitalize the sector, HINA added.
