Yet, companies face lack of workforce

The Czech engineering sector is expected to grow by 4.1% on the year for 2017 but the estimate is that it would slow down in 2018, the Czech Information Agency (CIA) said citing a study conducted by CEEC Research (CEEC).

The sector’s performance is good mainly thanks to the automotive industry and the overall condition of the Czech economy, a representative of the business commented.

However, the Czech engineering companies now have to face a lack of workforce. Corporate capacities on a long-term basis have already reached 93%, CIA added.
