Danish Lego aims to expand business in Middle East, Africa

Danish toy manufacturer Lego aims to expand its business in the Middle East and Africa region and will open a new office in Dubai by the end of 2018, Arabian Business reported citing the group’s CEO Niels Christiansen.

He noted that Lego wanted to boost its presence on the growing market in the area and the target could be achieved by putting people on the ground in the UAE’s financial centre. The group’s ambition is to invest in sustainable growth in the longer-term as well as to expand its business in China as its revenue booked double-digit growth in the Asian country in 2017.

Currently, Lego runs a network of six stores in Dubai. It also has one in Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall as well as a number of outlets in Kuwait and Bahrain, Arabian Business added.
