Ethiopia’s inflation in July stands at 12.6%
Ethiopia’s inflation rate stood at 12.6% for July 2019, maintaining its double-digit level for over a year, New Business Ethiopia (NBE) reported referring to data released by the country’s Central Statistics Agency (CSA). In comparison, general inflation for July 2018 was 14.8%.
Over the reported month, food inflation rose to 13.7% from 13.1% in June. Non-food inflation slipped to 11.4% in July from 11.9% a month earlier.
Furthermore, the month-on-month general consumer price index for July this year rose by 1.4%, NBE underlined.
