Foreign investors take over nearly 2,000 Czech firms in H1 2019

The number of Czech firms acquired by foreign investors stood at 1,745 for the first half of 2019, M-Brain reported referring to data provided by Bisnode. Most of the foreign investors came from Ukraine as they purchased some 399 Czech companies.

Also, Slovak investors bought some 389 entities in the Czech Republic. Next in line were investors from Romania, Hungary and Russia. 

The highest transaction in terms of value was negotiated by Polish investors who acquired a capital worth over CZK 2 billion. Between January and June 2019, the total volume of Czech capital taken over by foreign investors reached CZK 3.8 billion, M-Brain added.
