Grab Indonesia to invest USD 700 million on digital economy

Transport network company (TNC) Grab recently outlined a master plan called Grab 4 Indonesia. In this plan, CEO and Co-Founder Anthony Tan announced that the company will be helping Indonesia achieve its goal of becoming the “largest digital economy in Southeast Asia by 2020.”

To do this, Grab Indonesia will be investing USD 700 million (IDR 9.1 trillion) in the next four years, with a focus on the development of talents in technology, technopreneurship and digital payment. Of this amount, around USD 100 million will be slated for startups.
