Hanoi to spend more than 6.74 trillion VND to boost rural regions

Hanoi plans to boost and develop its rural regions by injecting more than 6.74 trillion VND so that it can have more new-style rural areas comprised of an additional 22 communes and two districts this year. Currently it has 212 new-style rural communities.

With the projected boost, the city is targeting to increase the rate of agricultural workers in training to 46% to 52%, and also for the average per capita income in these rural areas to grow to 38 million VND.

The capital city aims to upgrade transport and irrigation facilities, as well as schools and markets, reported Vian Macroeconomic News. The development is in line with a 2010 national programme initiated in 2010.
