Adiyaman solar park, the first solar project of British solar energy developer Hive Energy in Turkey, started generating power at the end of February, the Budapest Business Journal (BBJ) reported.

Hive Energy’s project, developed in southeastern Turkey, has a capacity of 10 MW and is expected to generate around 18 million kWh per year. Its investment cost was estimated at USD 11 million and was provided by investors in the UK.

The British group opened its regional office in Ankara in 2015 with an ambition to develop on the market. In 2017 alone, Turkey installed 1.7 GW of new solar capacity, BBJ added.
