Kuwait Airways aims to boost fleet
State-run airline Kuwait Airways aims to boost its fleet as its number of passengers is expected to reach five million people this year, Kuna News reported citing the carrier’s board chairman Youssef Al-Jassem.
The airline’s fleet is due to grow to 38 aircraft by 2026. It already owns 10 units of Boeing’s 777-300 ER model. It has also ordered 15 units of European Airbus’ 320neo model as well as eight units of its A330 and five units of its A350 model.
Kuwait Airways will use loans to purchase the new aircraft as it does not plan to spend its USD 1.2 billion capital on the move, Kuna News added.Original source: Kuna News
