Four companies will provide telecom and ICT services

Four local companies have agreed to provide the ICT system for the Laos-China Railway Construction Project. The four companies, Laos-China Railway Company, Lao Telecom, Lao Asia-Pacific and Huawei, will provide service along the rail line running from the Boten-Bohane International Border Checkpoint in Luang Namtha Province to Vientiane.

An investment of almost USD 3.7 million will be required for the ICT system, which will supply Internet services and mobile phone signals along the length of the railway for the next five years.
