MOROCCO LOOKS TO STRENGTHEN THE POST-BREXIT MOROCCAN-BRITISH PARTNERSHIP

Mounia Boucetta, Secretary of State to the minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, called Tuesday in London, for strengthening the post-Brexit Moroccan-British partnership.

At the Moroccan-British forum on trade and investment at Mansion House, Boucetta stressed the importance of this forum, which aims to highlight the existing economic opportunities between Morocco, as a gateway to Africa, and Great Britain which is opening up to new partners after the Brexit.

She also emphasized the need to strengthen the level of economic partnership between the two countries, noting that Morocco is driven by a strong desire to consolidate its partnership with the United Kingdom post-Brexit according to "a new dynamic and a more efficient approach".

Morocco's strategic positioning at the continental level should be taken into account in this new partnership framework, said Boucetta, adding that this positioning makes the Kingdom a credible regional and continental player, with considerable assets thanks to major reforms, internal dynamics and sectorial strategies, carried out under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, BBC Monitoring informed.
