Romania's biggest telecommunications player’s sales exceeded EUR 1billion in 2017

Orange Romania, country’s biggest telecommunications player, has revealed the plans to invest some EUR100 million in network development, CEEMarketWatch reported, referring to company's CEO announcement.

In 2017 company’s sales exceeded EUR1 billion, underpinned by positive developments in the mobile data traffic, fixed-mobile service packages and by sales of mobile equipment, CEEMarketWatch added.

Romania has one of the highest shares of subscriptions to fast broadband in the EU. Over the past years the company has invested notable amounts in modernizing its local network and has reached 93% of 4G coverage by 2017. Orange, with more than 10.6mn clients, however, sees further development potential through broader coverage and internet speed growth.
