Peru’s GDP up 3.9% in March

The Peruvian economy rose 3.93% in March, M-Brain News Monitoring reported citing figures released by the national institute of statistics INEI. Country’s primary sector grew 5.91% during the month of reference, while local services sectors increased 4.21%.

Key sectors of the Peruvian economy also posted solid performance in March – agriculture and mining activity grew 8.34% and 5.24%, respectively.

Country’s economic growth in the analyzed month was also driven by the manufacturing and retail sectors, which improved 2.33% and 3.14%, respectively. On the other hand, Peru’s construction sector grew only 0.03% in March.
