Peru's non-traditional exports grow 1.4% y/y in March

Peru's non-traditional exports increased 1.4% year-on-year to USD 1.038bn in March, Andina news agency reported citing figures released by the Central Reserve Bank (BCR). The volume of the shipments also rose 7.2% yy during the month of reference.

Country's non-traditional exports also grew 2.9% y/y to USD 3.232bn in the first quarter of 2019. These positive figures were mainly driven by a 9.3% expansion of farming and fishery products. In this regard, sales abroad of fishery, textitle and farming products improved by 20.5% y/y, 7.2% y/y and 6.8% y/y , respectively.
