Poland’s PMI rises 1.4p in Aug 2019
Poland's PMI grew 1.4 points to 48.8 for August 2019, bne Intellinews reported referring to data provided by IHS Markit. Yet, it still remained below the threshold of 50 points which separates contraction from growth.
Of the five components of the index, output, new orders and employment contributed to the month-on-month increase in the main figure. Production fell for a tenth month in a row for August and purchasing dropped for a ninth consecutive month.
The indicator's growth was attributed to the easing of the overall pace at which business conditions deteriorated during the eighth month of 2019. Yet, Poland’s economic growth is expected to decelerate in Poland in the coming quarters, bne Intellinews noted.Original source: bne Intellinews
