Qatar, Singapore’s trade volume jumps 10% y/y in 2018
Qatar and Singapore saw their trade volume jump by 10% on an annual basis to USD 7.2 billion for 2018, Gulf News reported referring to an official of Qatar Chamber.
The entity’s assistant director general for government relations and committee affairs, Ali Bu Sherbak al-Mansouri, explained that the two partner states enjoyed very strong relations in all fields of co-operation. He also noted that the Chamber was interested in enhancing ties between businessmen from both countries in all economic aspects and especially in the area of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
In 2018, Qatari exports to Singapore included polymers of ethylene in its primary forms, mineral chemical fertilisers, mineral fuels as well as petroleum oils and petroleum products. On the other hand, Qatari imports included tools and equipment, electrical machinery and lighting equipment, vegetables and fruit, ceramic tableware and kitchenware, chocolate and other food products as well as medical or surgical instruments, Gulf News added.Original source: Gulf News
