Norwegian Petroleum Directorate will pick winners before summer of 2018

Rosneft’s unit RN Nordic Oil has been admitted in the tender for production licenses in the 24th licensing round on the Norwegian shelf, Prime reported referring to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

Norway wants to award licenses for 102 blocks. Of these, nine are in the Norwegian Sea and 93 in the Barents Sea. Reportedly eleven companies will compete in the auction. The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate will pick the winners before the summer of 2018.
