Russia’s food imports reach USD 29.8bn in 2018
Russia's food imports reached USD 29.8 billion in 2018, posting a decline of 31.2% in the past five years, Prime reported referring to data released by the country’s agriculture ministry. In 2013, food imports stood at USD 43.3 billion.
In 2018, the share of locally produced grain stood at 99.4%, this of sugar was 95.7% and this of oil was 81.5%. The share of locally produced meat and meat products was 92.8%, Prime added.
