Russia’s turkey meat production volume jumps 68.7% in 2013-2017

Russia saw its production of turkey meat in slaughter weight jump by 68.7% to 233,000 tonnes between 2013 and 2017, M-Brain reported referring to data provided by BusinesStat. The highest increase on an annual basis was registered in 2015 when it stood at 28.6%.

Among the main reasons for the successful result was the market entry of a new large player, namely Tambov Turkey, Cherkizovo group, and the increased production of Eurodon company.

The market is expected to continue its growth until 2022 and growth in output in the next five years is estimated to be in the scope of 11.6% and 18.1% on an annual basis, M-Brain added.
