Saudi Arabia, S Korea identify 40 joint projects in line with Vision 2030

Saudi Arabia and South Korea have identified 40 joint projects within Riyadh’s development strategy plan known as Vision 2030 as they have rapidly expanded their co-operation in various areas, Arab News reported citing South Korea’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Kwon Pyung-oh.

Most of the common co-operation sectors have a direct impact on the daily lives of the Saudi people and are central to the Saudi government's job-creation initiatives, the ambassador explained. Yet, the two partners have inked projects in five key segments, including energy and manufacturing, smart infrastructure, capacity building, healthcare as well as SMEs and investment.

Saudi Arabia is Korea's sixth largest source of imports and a primary energy provider and Seoul is Riyadh’s fifth largest export market, Arab News added.
