Thailand eager to make a free trade agreement with india

Thai-India FTA talks were restored in 2015 by the Thailiand government after having been delayed for about 10 years.

India is Thailand's 15th-biggest trading partner and largest in South Asia, reaching $7.92 billion in two-way trade in 2015.

According to Intellasia Finance Vietnam, talks between high-ranking officials last June to update progress on Thai-Indian FTA negotiations had a twist, as Thailand proposed to extend the talks to cover textiles and petrochemicals, while India requested to withdraw sugar and rubber gaskets from planned tariff cuts.
