Turkey’s unemployment rate rises to 10.8% in July

In July, the count of people over the age of 15 who were registered as unemployed rose by 88,000 year-on-year to 3,531 million people. On the other hand, youth employment, concerning people between the age of 15 and 24, dropped by 1.2 percentage point to 19.9%.
Also, in the seventh months of 2018, the number of employed people in Turkey reached 29,2 million, up by 507,000 people in comparison to a year earlier. Thus, the employment rate rose by 0.2 percentage point to 48.2%, Hurriyet Daily News added.
