Turkish Airlines starts flights to Gambia’s capital Banjul

National flag carrier Turkish Airlines has introduced flights to Gambia’s capital Banjul, Daily Financial Times reported. The flights are serviced twice a week as of November 26.

The Banjul flight service will allow Turkish Airlines to boost its presence in Africa, increasing its flight network on the continent to a total of 54 flights. The company is also confident that Africa would increase its importance for world tourism and trade in the medium and long-term period, its senior vice president of sales, Kerem Sarp, commented.

Turkish Airlines has presented introductory round trip fares from Istanbul to Banjul starting at USD 548.2 as well as from Banjul to Istanbul starting at USD 649.2, Daily Financial Times added.
