Vietnam’s phone exports to India soar 96% y/y in H1 2019
Vietnam’s phone exports to India soared by 96% on an annual basis to USD 743.46 million for the first six months of 2019, Vian Macroeconomic News reported referring to data provided by the General Department of Vietnam Customs. The segment of phones and accessories accounted for 21.8% of Hanoi’s total export turnover to New Delhi.
Another major market segment, this of machinery, equipment and spare parts, saw its exports reach USD 417 million over the reported period against USD 1.074 billion a year earlier. In general, Vietnam’s total export turnover to India went up by 2% year-on-year to USD 3.41 billion for the first half of 2019, Vian Macroeconomic News noted.
