Vietnam, Malaysia to boost bilateral trade to USD 15bn by 2020

Vietnam and Malaysia aim to boost their bilateral trade to USD 15 billion by 2020, dpa ANN Service reported. The two countries have also signed a deal to enhance their economic co-operation.

Hanoi and Kuala Lumpur’s goal is to remove barriers and create favourable conditions for businesses to co-operate. They want to urge groups to work together, particularly in fields such as urban development, renewable energy, electronic production and agro-forestry and fisheries.

Furthermore, the two countries aim to promote mechanisms and sign new co-operation deals in the sectors of defence and security. They have also discussed measures to improve efficiency in education and training, labour, transport, information and communication, and culture and tourism, dpa ANN Service noted.
