Vietnam's fruit, vegetable exports to China rise 43.8% m/m in April

Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports to China jumped by 43.8% on a monthly basis to over USD 364 million for April, Intellasia.Net News reported referring to data released by the Vietnamese industry and trade ministry. The increase comes after a stagnation booked earlier in 2019.

Year-on-year, Hanoi’s exports to China went up by 39.2%. Between January and April, Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports to its neighbour rose by 4.3% on an annual basis to a total of USD 1 billion.

The upward trend is expected to continue in May. In the first five months of 2019, Vietnam's overall fruit and vegetable exports went up by 10.3% on an annual basis to USD 1.8 billion, Intellasia.Net News noted.
