Warsaw Chopin Airport sees passenger traffic grow 12.7% y/y in 2018

Warsaw’s Chopin Airport saw its passenger traffic grow by 12.7% on an annual basis to 17.76 million people, Polish News Bulletin (PNB) reported. Thus, the entity booked a new record-high in terms of passenger count.

The difference between domestic and international traffic over the year was significant as some 1.8 million passengers used air transportation within Poland while nearly 16 million people travelled to international destinations.

Chopin Airport served some 1.2 million passengers in December alone, which represented growth by 10% on the year. The airport has extension plans for 2019 confirming its ambition to confirm its position as a regional leader, PNB added.
