Al-Dhafra Insurance Company was Founded in 1979, by Emiri Decree No. 8 of 1979 and registered under the provisions of Federal Law No. (9) of 1984. Al- Dafrah Insurance Company is engaged in insurance and reinsurance all of the classes of business with the exception of endowments and annuities. Its products portfolio falls into two main business segments: Underwriting of general insurance business, which incorporates all classes of general insurance such as life, health, engineering, liability, personal accident, miscellaneous accident, fire and allied peril, professional indemnity, household, energy, aviation, marine hull, marine cargo and vehicle, and Investment business, which incorporates investments in marketable equity securities and investment funds, development bonds, term deposits with banks and investment properties and other securities.
