La Equitativa del Plata S.A. de Seguros is an insurance company located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was founded in 1897 by a group of merchants representing various immigrant communities. Initially, the company focused on life insurance. In 1927, after the entry of a French financial group as a shareholder and a statutory reform, they expanded their offerings to include fire and automobile insurance. Over the years, La Equitativa has continuously adapted to meet the evolving needs of its customers and anticipate new risks. In 2003, they added coverage for work-related risks through Reconquista ART to their product portfolio. La Equitativa is a family-owned and national company that has been operating for over 70 years. It has served up to four generations of policyholders, insurance agents, shareholders, executives, managers, supervisors, employees, appraisers, and advisors, forming what they refer to as the La Equitativa community. With a history of over 120 years, La Equitativa has faced and will continue to face the future's greatest challenges to provide coverage and protection.
