Nuevo Banco del Chaco S.A. was created from the privatization of ex Banco del Chaco Sociedad de Economía Mixta. It operates as a Sociedad Anónima since September 15, 1993 and it initiated is activities to the public on November 4, 1994. On April 1999, following a requirement of the authority of the financial system, the provincial government capitalized the entity, claimed the mayority of the stocks and started directing the bank. Since its creation, Nuevo Banco del Chaco exercises, by legal mandate, the function of financial agent of the government of the Chaco Province.
