The Company is engaged in manufacturing and marketing generic pharmaceuticals products, basic chemical products, and animal health products. The Company also engaged in marketing of pesticide products.
The Company was established as a partnership in 1958 and incorporated on November 10, 1964, under the Companies Act, 1913 as a Private Ltd. Company and it was converted into a Public Limited Company in 1991 and offered its share to the public with the approval of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission on December 1994.
The shares of the Company were listed on Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd in 1995 and on Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd on 21 October 1995.
The Company has changed its year-end from March to June.
