Balkantex EAD is a Bulgarian garments exporter located in Sofia. The company was founded over 20 years ago as a spin-off and partner of a Swiss textile trading corporation. It started as a 2-man start-up and has since grown to employ over 150 employees. Balkantex is still managed by its founders. The company's production department oversees the manufacturing of all samples and goods, with prototypes made in their atelier in Sofia. They have their own technicians who draw patterns and cut plannings for production. Balkantex works with 30 production partners in Bulgaria and North Macedonia to meet short-term needs and offer a wide range of products. They also have specialists such as embroiderers, washhouses, dyeing mills, and printers in their production network. Balkantex has a department called "Social Compliance and Quality Systems" that supports and monitors existing and new plants to meet the needs of their customers.
