Gebr. Heinemann Bulgaria, established in 2003 under the name Travel Retail Distribution - TRD, specialises in wholesale and retail travel market. The company was set up after the Bulgarian arm of German retailer Gebr Heinemann merged with a firm controlled by local spirits-to-Internet businessman Vassil Mirchev.
Gebr. Heinemann Bulgaria is primarily engaged in distributing spirits to duty-free shops in Bulgaria.
In 2007 the company signed a contact with Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, the concessionaire of Bulgaria's airports in Varna and Burgas, for the operation of the tavel value and duty free shops at the two airports.
