House Market Bulgaria, which is part of Fourlis Group, Greece, set foot on the Bulgarian market in 2008 as a franchisee of Swedish home furnishing retailer IKEA. The Sofia-based company purchased 60,737 square meters regulated land in 2008 and started the construction of the first IKEA store in 2010. In September 2011 the hypermarket, which is located in the capital city of Sofia, was opened.
