Military clothing maker Intendantsko Obsluzhvane was set up in 1956 as part of the then Bulgarian Defense ministry. It was registered as state-owned company under Bulgaria’s Commercial Law in 1997.
Intendantsko Obsluzhvane had five branches across Bulgaria – in Sofia, Plovdiv, Kalofer, Burgas and Gorna Oryahovitsa. The company employed some 1,900 in 1999. After the privatisation of its branches in Varna and Rakovski, the number of its employees dropped to 1,300.
The company has sewn clothing for the armies of the UK, Greece and Spain.
Currently, Intendantsko Obsluzhvane runs three production units - in Sofia, Plovdiv and Kalofer. Main clients of the company are the Bulgarian Army, ВMilitary Academy G.S.Rakovski - Sofia, National Military University V. Levski – V. Tarnovo , National Security Agency and N.Y. Vaptsarov Naval Academy - Varna. The company has accomplished orders for the world famous Mango, Mason's, COMPAGNIA ITALIA, MARINA YACHTING.
In November 2010 the company opened a showroom in Sofia.
