Optix AD was set up in 1998 as a hundred percent private owned company. The company’s primary activity is design and manufacturing of optical, opto-mechanical and opto-electronic assemblies and devices for military as well as civil use. The main production facilities are located in the city of Panagyurishte, 90 km. southeast of Sofia. The production process meets the requirements of international standards – DIN, MIL, ISO and BS. Optix is a leading supplier for the national army and police forces. The company has won a tender to produce and deliver high-tech mobile surveillance and security systems for patrol of Bulgaria’s national border. Optix AD is one of the first companies to obtain NATO’s AQAP 2110 standard.
