Samel - 90 manufactures electronic appliances and equipment for military and civil customers. The company's production facility is located in the town of Samokov. Its product range features consumer and special purpose electronics in the area of telecommunications, specialized electronics for the lighting industry, automotive spare parts. The firm exports more than 70% of its production.
Samel - 90 is a successor of the Samokov-based branch of Signal – Sofia, which was set up in 1964. In 1982 the local plant of the radio-electronics factory was renamed to Hristo Nikov. At that time the manufacturer was part of the Electron holding company. Between 1990 and 1991 it became an independent entity and was named Samel – 90. In 1999 it was transformed into a private company.
