Specialized hospitals for rehabilitation National Complex is a joint stock company since 2000, fully-owned by the State. It was set up in 1966 and unites 13 specialized rehabilitation hospitals situated throughout the country - Banite, Smoljan District; Bankya; Banja, Karlovo District; Velingrad; Varshets; Kyustendil; Momin Prohod; Narechen; Ovcha Mogila; Pavel Banja; Pomorie; Sandanski and Hisarya. All of them offer different procedures such as electrotherapy, thermo-therapy, kinesitherapy, treatment by mud, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, light therapy.
The hospitals provide rehabilitation services to approximately 60,000 patients per year - half of all people who need rehabilitation in Bulgaria.
