Texim Bank AD (Bulgaria)

Bulgaria's private Teximbank was founded in 1992 by Georgi Naidenov, a prominent businessman during the communist era who is credited with trying to adapt market economy rules to the state-run plan economy. Established in the 1960s, the Texim economic group laid the foundations of the modern industry with the largest Bulgarian commercial fleet, agriculture aviation, greenhouse production and the production of Coca Cola.
Teximbank was licensed for domestic banking in 1992 and was granted a licence for international banking operations in April 1997. The bank's statutes forbade state participation in its equity capital and the lender had over 4,000 shareholders – both individuals and enterprises. Liechtenstein-registered Paton Anstalt, which was previously represented in Bulgaria by Georgi Naidenov, controlled 27.3% of the bank at the end of 2005. In addition, each of the daughters of the late Naidenov held some 15% in the lender.
In February 2013 the company was listed on the local stock exchange. The bank operates more than 30 branches and offices throughout the country and offers a wide range of banking and financial services and products for individuals and corporate clients.
