Trakya Glass Bulgaria EAD (Bulgaria)

Trakya Glass Bulgaria EAD was founded in 2003 and is located in Targovishte. It is a glass manufacturing company that operates the first flat glass line in the Balkans. In 2004, the construction of the flat glass plant began, and it started operating in 2006. The company also has a plant for the production of processed glass for household appliances, such as float glass for refrigerators and ovens, which was put into operation in 2007. With an increased capacity in 2018, the company produces 2.8 million square meters of glass with functional coatings, supplying glass to major white goods manufacturers in Europe, including Arçelik, BSH, Electrolux, and Whirpool/Indesit. The company also produces energy-efficient high-performance glass through its facility for coated glass production, which was developed by the Research and Development Department. In 2015, a second flat glass line was opened, along with glass for photovoltaics that generate electricity from secondary waste materials. Currently, Trakya Glass Bulgaria EAD has a production capacity of 470,000 tons per year.
