Vazovski Mashinostroitelni Zavodi EAD (VMZ) is a state-owned enterprise which was officially found in July 1940. VMZ is specialized in anti-tank weapons and artillery ammunition manufacture. Its product range features - artillery ammunition, ammunition for multiple-rocket launching system, ammunition for RPG-7V portable anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade launcher, rocket-propelled grenades for disposable grenade launcher, ammunition for SPG-9 heavy grenade launcher and 2A28 gun, unguided aircraft rockets, anti-tank guided missiles, fuzes, igniters and pyro-delay mechanisms, concept models. All production facilities are located in the town of Sopot, 60 km. from Plovdiv.
