In 1991 the company was registered as a Limited Liability company. As of December 31, 2005, the company's water distribution pipes and mains included approximately 305 kilometres in the region of Ruse that encompasses 83 towns and villages.
VIK Ruse, where 51% is held by the state and the rest is owned by local municipalities, provides water service to over 275,000 customers. Currently, the company provides water services to 8 municipalities - Ruse, Slivo Pole, Vetovo, Ivanovo, Byala, Borovo, Dve mogili and Tzenovo.
