Zarneni Hrani - Silistra was established in 1996. For the period from its establishment to 1998 the company was fully state-owned. In 1998 the Privatization agency sold the major part of the shares to Zarno Silistra - 97. In 1999 the company bought a granary in the seaside city of Varna. As of end-2013 the majority shareholder is Zarno Silistra - 97 with 98.39% ownership. The main activity of the company is production, storage and trade with grain and cereals, as well as sale of fuels and lubricants.
